Overview

Finablo (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

The short version: We collect only what’s necessary to make the app work. We don’t sell your data. We don’t show ads. We don’t share your financial information with third parties.

What We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored securely as a hash — we never store plain-text passwords).

Financial Profile (Self-Reported)

When you take the Financial Health Check, you provide information such as income, expenses, savings, debt, and financial goals. This data is:

  • Used only to generate your health score and educational content
  • Stored securely on our servers
  • Never sold to third parties
  • Never shared with advertisers, insurance companies, or financial product providers

Usage Data

We use Mixpanel for basic analytics to understand how people use Finablo. This includes pages visited, features used, and general interaction patterns. This data is anonymized and used solely to improve the product.

Sage Conversations

Messages you exchange with Sage are stored to maintain your conversation history. These conversations are:

  • Used only to provide you with the coaching feature
  • Not used to train AI models
  • Not shared with any third parties

What We Don’t Collect

  • Bank account credentials or login information
  • Social Security numbers
  • Credit card numbers (we have no payment system)
  • Data from your bank or financial institutions
  • Browsing history outside of Finablo

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to:

  1. Generate your financial health score and educational content
  2. Power Sage with context about your financial profile
  3. Track your learning progress and achievements
  4. Send you email communications you’ve opted into (which you can disable anytime)
  5. Improve the product through anonymized usage analytics

Data Storage & Security

  • Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers
  • Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms
  • We use HTTPS for all data transmission
  • Access to user data is restricted to essential operations only

Your Rights

You can:

  • View your data through your profile page
  • Update your financial profile by retaking the assessment
  • Change your email preferences at any time from your profile
  • Delete your account and all associated data by contacting us at jayant@finablo.com

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Mixpanel — anonymized product analytics
  • Anthropic (Claude) — powers Sage and report generation. Your financial profile data is sent to Anthropic’s API to generate responses. See Anthropic’s privacy policy for their data handling practices.
  • Cloudflare — CDN and security

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising trackers.

Cookies

Finablo uses minimal cookies:

  • Authentication token — to keep you logged in
  • Local storage — to store your preferences and session data

We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

Children’s Privacy

Finablo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the “Last updated” date.
